Year 6 2021 - 2022
Year 6 teacher
Welcome to the Year 6 Class Page!
I hope that you have all had a wonderful summer holidays! Now that we have returned to school, I hope that the children are looking forward to a brand new term of learning because I definitely am! I am extremely excited to be teaching Year 6 again but that's mainly because of the wonderful children that I will be teaching; I am already looking forward to our time together this year!
I will upload our curriculum map to this page in due course so that you can read about our plans for the Autumn term!
Should you have any concerns or queries, please know that I am usually available to talk at home time.
Miss K Edwards
All reading books and journals need to be in school every day. Please try to read at least three times a week with your child. Regular reading practice at home can help to improve your child's reading, spelling, vocabulary and writing so it is very important.
Homework will be set every Wednesday by your child's 'Power Teacher' with the expectation that it will be back in school by Monday. Alongside our homework each week, I will be setting a stand-alone homework quest that should be completed over the course of a few weeks - details can be found on this page along with our curriculum map!
The children will be swimming each Wednesday afternoon this half-term. Please ensure that your child brings a waterproof coat to school with them on these days as we will be walking to and from the centre.
