Year 6 2021 - 2022
Year 6 teacher
Welcome to the Year 6 Class Page!
I hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Now that we have once again returned to school, I hope that the children are looking forward to a brand new term of learning because I definitely am! Personally, I am incredibly excited to be continuing our learning journey together in Year 6 and for the interesting texts and topics that we will be immersing ourselves in!
Should you have any concerns or queries, please know that I am usually available to talk at home time.
Miss K Edwards
All reading books and journals need to be in school every day. Please try to read at least three times a week with your child. Regular reading practice at home can help to improve your child's reading, spelling, vocabulary and writing so it is very important.
Homework will be set every Friday by your child's 'Power Teacher' with the expectation that it will be back in school by Wednesday. Alongside our homework each week, I will be setting a stand-alone homework quest that should be completed over the course of a few weeks - details can be found on this page along with our curriculum map!
The children will be developing their knowledge and skills related to football on a Monday afternoon and those related to dance on a Thursday afternoon. To clarify, please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school on Monday and Thursday each week.
