What a Difference a Day Makes!

It was ‘all hands on deck’  on the first day of the Easter break as a group of parents and staff set about the task of tidying up the overgrown outdoor learning environment around the pond – the first step in a complete development of the area being planned over the next few months  working with The Prince’s Trust.

From the youngest member of the team to the eldest (an age gap of over 70 years) the willing helpers worked long and hard, enjoying, amongst other things, a barbecue lunch prepared by the wonderful Mr Booth. By the end of the day the results spoke for themselves: trees and shrubs had been cut back, pathways cleared, the pond area rediscovered and the site looking ready for its make-over!

Mrs Lawton said, “This has been a real team effort. When you see what we’ve achieved in just one day, it is really exciting to think how the area will look when it is finished! We are looking forward to working with The Prince’s Trust and finding out about their exciting plans to develop the area for our children!”
