Our Governors

Laura brings extensive experience of school governance and educational leadership, having served as a governor at a number of schools, including as Chair. She is also a co-founder of Satis Education, an education recruitment and consultancy business that supports schools and multi-academy trusts with leadership recruitment and organisational development.

Laura is passionate about ensuring that every child receives a high-quality education and has the opportunity to achieve their full potential, regardless of their background or ability. As Chair of Governors, she is committed to working collaboratively with school leaders and fellow governors to support school improvement, promote high standards and ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.

Hayley has been a Parent Governor at Palace Fields since July 2025.

Palace Fields has been part of Hayley’s life since 2009, when her two eldest children joined the school following the family’s move to Runcorn from London.

Since then, Hayley has developed a strong affection for the school and has enjoyed watching it flourish into the community it is today. Her youngest child is currently a pupil in KS1 and is thriving and very happy at the school.

Hayley strongly supports the vision and values of Palace Fields and particularly appreciates the nurturing approach that the school provides.

As a Parent Governor, Hayley is committed to ensuring that all pupils feel safe, included and encouraged to believe in and achieve their future dreams.

Daniel has been part of the Palace Fields community since 2023 and currently works as a Year 5 teacher, as well as Curriculum Lead for Science, Art and Design Technology. He also leads the School Council, helping to ensure that children’s voices are heard and have a direct influence on decisions within the school.

Daniel became a Staff Governor because he is deeply committed to living out the school’s KIT values and supporting the vision of Palace Fields, with a particular focus on improving life chances for every child. He is passionate about championing staff and contributing to the ongoing improvement and development of the school.

Becoming a governor has provided Daniel with an exciting opportunity to broaden his understanding of whole-school leadership and governance, while using his experience and passion to make a positive difference for all members of the school community.

Lynda was appointed as a  Trust Appointed Governor at Palace Fields Primary School in November 2024. Lynda has worked at Manchester Metropolitan University since 2017; firstly as Business Support Officer for the Greater Manchester Social Work Academy Teaching Partnership and then moving to Recruitment and Admissions as Admissions Coordinator.  Originally from Australia, Lynda has been living in Halton for 9 years and she is keen to give her support and commitment to Palace Fields Primary School during her tenure as a Governor.
